Washington — Gov. Rick Snyder will travel to Israel in June in the latest of a series of trade missions designed to boost Michigan exports.
“Gov. Snyder is indeed planning a trip to Israel in June, though we’re not in a position to share details yet,” spokeswoman Sara Wurfel said.
Michigan exported $117 million in goods to Israel in 2012, the 19th most, and nearly $1.5 billion since 1996.
Snyder has led a series of trips to try to boost Michigan businesses. In September, 21 Michigan companies held a 10-day trade mission to China. He plans another trip to Asia this fall, making stops in Japan and China.
