FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -Laura Vogel and Michael Ellis are understandably on edge tying skate laces before they tie the big knot.

The couple met at a 6 a.m. hockey clinic called the Breakfast Club at Suburban Ice Arena in Farmington Hills.

“We used to just sort of talk and chat in line and one day he asked me out. I said no,” Vogel said.

Ellis thought that was it. However, things warmed up on the ice during a second class they shared.”We went out for a cup of coffee and things worked out really well,” he said.
