Employees of five companies found their inner children Friday as they took to sandboxes in a competition to build the best sandcastle.
It was part of a fund-raiser for Friendship Circle, an agency that has been providing assistance and support for families of children with special needs since 1994.
The competition, which raised more than $10,000, was held at Friendship Circle’s headquarters in West Bloomfield.
The corporate teams represented Broder & Sachse, Digitas, Come Play Detroit, MRM Worldwide and Friedman Integrated Real Estate Solutions. Friendship Circle will post pictures of each sandcastle on its website, for the public to vote on the best.
Voting begins Monday and runs through Thursday. The winner will be announced Friday.
